I didn't set out to build a business. I set out to solve a problem I kept running into: the gap between how serious collectors think about their cars and how the industry actually treats them.

Cheval Noir started in Atlanta because that's where I am, and because this city has more serious car culture than it gets credit for. We work with a small number of clients at a time — not because we're hard to reach, but because this kind of care doesn't scale well.

What we do is straightforward. We store cars properly and keep them running. We clean and protect paint, and correct it when it needs it. And when someone wants to buy or sell, we handle it quietly, on their side of the table.

I'm not a gearhead in the traditional sense. I don't talk in horsepower figures or lap times. What I care about is where a car has been, what condition it is genuinely in, and the ordinary, unglamorous care that keeps it worth what it should be in twenty years.

If you have a car you care about, that's enough. Tell us what you're looking for and we'll tell you plainly whether we can help.

The right introduction changes everything.
