Paint Protection Film in Alpharetta

For an Alpharetta car, the chips come from 400. A daily run down the highway decides how much film the car needs.

Alpharetta

What 400 does to the front of a car

Georgia 400 is how most of Alpharetta gets anywhere: south to Sandy Springs, Buckhead and Midtown, and north toward Cumming. It is a fast, heavily used highway with regular construction work, and debris kicked up at speed peppers the nose of every car on it.

For a car that does that run every weekday, the Front Clip is the minimum. If the sills and the lower rear quarters are marked too, that is the car's own tires at work, and the Track Pack is the answer.

Alpharetta's newer subdivisions add a quieter source. Where homes are still being built, construction traffic leaves gravel and red clay on the roads, and a car driven through it every day collects fine pitting on the lower front. Film takes that too.

Windshields on 400 take the same stones as the hood. On many recent cars, lane-keeping and emergency-braking cameras sit behind the glass, so a cracked windshield means a new screen and a camera calibration appointment. Windshield film, at $450, takes the pitting instead and is simply replaced when it wears.

What we recommend

Commuter, weekend car or lease

A daily 400 commuter needs the Front Clip, plus windshield film if the car has cameras behind the glass. A commuter with marked sills as well should have the Track Pack. A low-mileage weekend car that does mountain drives or track days wants the Track Pack at minimum, and Full Body if it is a keeper.

A leased car is its own calculation. Front-end chips are a common source of charges at turn-in, and a Front Clip removes most of that risk for the length of the lease. Film can be removed before the car goes back, but check your lease agreement first, since some have conditions about aftermarket additions.

Getting here

Weekend cars and how they get here

A lot of the cars we see from Alpharetta are weekend cars, kept low-mileage on purpose. On those, film is about the drives that do happen: a run up 400 toward the mountains should not leave the front of a special car pitted.

The studio is 25 to 30 minutes away, east to 141 and down Peachtree Parkway. Plan on leaving it with us while the film beds in. If you would rather not add the miles to a low-mileage car, ask us about collection when you book.

Questions

Alpharetta questions

Front Clip at minimum, since 400 mostly hits the nose. If the sills and lower rear quarters are pitted as well, step up to the Track Pack.

Often. Chipped bumpers and hoods are a common wear charge, and a Front Clip fitted early keeps the front clean for the length of the lease. Check your lease agreement before fitting anything, since some have conditions about aftermarket additions.

Ask when you book. For low-mileage cars, many owners would rather not add the round trip, and we will tell you what collection involves for your car and date.
