Paint Protection Film in Duluth
Duluth sits on I-85, one of the busiest freight routes in the Southeast. Following trucks at highway speed is the quickest way to chip a car, and that is what the film is for.

Duluth
I-85 and the trucks
Interstate 85 runs along Duluth's edge, with the Pleasant Hill Road interchange as the way on for much of the city. It carries a heavy volume of freight between Atlanta and the Carolinas, and loaded trucks shed gravel and grit that hit the cars behind them at speed. The bumper, hood leading edge and headlights take it first.
For an 85 commuter the Front Clip is the minimum, and windshield film is worth adding: the windshield takes the same stones as the hood, and a cracked windshield is a replacement rather than a repair.
Buford Highway and Peachtree Industrial carry a lot of commercial traffic through Duluth too, slower than the interstate but with the same trucks. Cars that spend their days on all three chip faster than most.
What we recommend
What an 85 commuter needs
A daily I-85 commuter should have the Front Clip and windshield film. If the sills are pitted too, add the Track Pack. Local driving on Pleasant Hill Road, Sugarloaf Parkway and Buford Highway is well served by the Front Clip alone, and a car you plan to keep for many years, or want in satin, is a Full Body car.
Film on the front with a ceramic coating over the whole car is a common pairing for an outdoor-parked commuter. The film takes the stones from 85, and the coating handles the sun, pollen and dust a car parked outside collects. The coating goes over the film too, so the filmed panels wash as easily as the rest.
Satin film is the same decision in Duluth as anywhere: it turns a gloss car matte, it can be removed later, and it belongs on the whole car rather than only the front.
Getting here
Down the road to the studio
Duluth is one of the easiest drives we have: straight down Peachtree Industrial to Peachtree Corners, 15 to 20 minutes with no interstate needed. It is a drop-off rather than a wait, with the return date set at inspection.
If the car is new, come in before it starts commuting on 85. Film fitted over an unchipped front keeps it that way; fitted later, it seals in whatever the trucks have already done.
