The package

Why all three, and why now

Each part answers a different problem a new car has. Together they cover the paint you can see and the paint the road reaches first.

  • New paint is rarely perfect paint

    Between the factory and your driveway a car is washed more than once, and the dealer wash before delivery is usually quick. Those washes leave fine marks that show under direct sun. The polish removes them before anything is sealed over them.

  • The front takes the first chips

    The bumper, hood leading edge, fenders and mirrors face the road, and chips start on the first highway drive. Film fitted before that has nothing to hide. Film fitted after it seals the chips underneath.

  • Film and coating do different jobs

    Film absorbs impacts. A coating resists etching from bird droppings and sap, slows UV fading and makes washing easier. The coating goes over the whole car, film included, so every panel gets the second job and the front gets both.

  • Done once, in the right order

    Polish first, then film, then coating, in one visit. Doing them separately means washing and preparing the car more than once, and a coating applied before film has to be removed where the film will go.

The order of work

One visit, five steps

  1. Inspection

    We look over the paint with you under inspection lighting, note anything from transport or the dealer, and confirm finish (gloss or satin film) and timing.

  2. Wash and decontamination

    Hand wash, iron and tar removal, so nothing bonded to new paint ends up under the film or the coating.

  3. Single-stage polish

    One machine polish over the whole car to remove delivery marks and bring the gloss up.

  4. Front Clip film

    Full front bumper, full hood, full front fenders, side mirrors and headlights, each panel covered in full.

  5. 5-Year ceramic coating

    A prep wipe strips polishing oils, then Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light (CSL) goes on panel by panel over paint and film alike, and cures indoors before handover.

With satin film the Front Clip is $3,300, for $4,599 in total. Each item is the same price it is on its own; the package is the order of work, not a discount.

Almost always. Delivery washes leave fine marks that a coating would lock in for years, and some new cars also show light holograms from dealer machine work. It is a single-stage polish, not a correction: it takes off the delivery marks and very little clear coat.

As soon after delivery as you can, ideally before the first long highway drive. Every mile before the film goes on is a mile in which the front can chip, and a chip under film stays visible.

Yes. The Track Pack adds rocker panels, A-pillars, roofline edge, door edges, door cups and rear impact areas ($3,900 gloss), and Full Body covers every painted panel ($7,500 gloss). The polish and coating stay the same. See paint protection film for every package.

The film and the coating (Gtechniq CSL) each carry their manufacturer’s warranty, on the manufacturer’s terms. We name the exact terms for your film and coating in writing before you book.

Turnaround is confirmed at inspection. The coating needs cure time indoors before the car goes back out, and that is built into the return date.
